Hello dear friends and fellow foodies!!
Some days ago I shared my personal chow fan recipe! I admit that I’m a fan of Chinese food… well, I am a fan of food, period! LOL!
For some time I have been exploring the common recipes we find in local Chinese food places. I have also discovered a charming little Chinese store, managed by a young Chinese lady who’s always willing to help and give advice, so I’ve become even more interested!
- ” ¼ LB. Cauliflower.
- ” ¼ LB. Broccoli.
- ” 1 small can of water chestnuts finely cut.
- ” A bunch of soy buds.
- ” ½ pound of boiled or Stir fried noodles.
- ” ½ pound of cabbage in squares.
- ” ½ white onion.
- ” ½ red sweet pepper.
- ” ½ lb. pork fillet cut in very small squares.
- ” ½ pound of chicken cut in very small squares..
- ” 1 small piece of very tiny chopped ginger.
- ” Nutmeg.
- ” ½ bouillon cube.
- ” 1 spoonful of oyster sauce.
- ” light soy sauce.
- ” A bit of salt.
Boil or stir fry your noodles and separate.
Heat some oil and when it is very hot add the meat and allow it to gild, then the vegetables and the spices. Allow to sear.
Once the vegetables and the meat have been seared add the noodles, mix, add some soy and oyster sauce and the nutmeg. Rectify the salt and take out of the fire.
Enjoy with some white rice!
