El fogoncito’s first anniversary!

Hello my dear friends!

Today is a very special day!

Exactly one year ago, fighting my natural resistance to share my recipes, I decided to open this blog to share them. I first started with the Spanish side (elfogoncito.net) and then the English side.

What I have discovered is that it is true that “…it is in giving that we receive…”

“…Give, and it shall be given to you: good measure and pressed down and shaken together and running over shall they give into your bosom…” (Luke 6.38)

“…He who soweth sparingly, shall also reap sparingly: and he who soweth in blessings, shall also reap blessings.…” (2 Corinthians 9.6)

After sharing hundreds of recipes, ideas and adventures I can say that I am a much better cook today than I was a year ago. I have received great ideas and charming recipes, but above all, your love and support.

Our blog has been breaking records almost every week. The last two days were the more active in the history of the site and our projections show that we’re only warming up! We receive all this with happiness and humbleness, as all is owed to you.

We finish our first year with 600% growth. Incredible! right?

We’ve had over 40,000 visits from over 100 countries (elfogoncito.net)

We’re the most active Dominican food site or blog and our facebook, twitter and youtube base continues to grow.

Today I want to thank on my own behalf and that of the “Sous Chef” and the Little chefs, first to God and then to all of you, my friends and fellow foodies. May the “Big Chef” grant you long living fires!

What a happy coincidence, that on Thanksgiving day we have so much to be thankful for!

Don’t forget to subscribe and continue enjoying with el fogoncito!
