Dominican Heat and Planters® NUTrition! Love at first sight!

Hello everyone!

I had not written in some days but luckily for us our “sous chef” stepped to the plate and came up with some deliciously great recipes.

My camera had some technical difficulties, so I’ll have to go to my back up file while the new part arrives. (Should only be a few days)

Today I wanted to share Planters® NUTrition® promotion and some information about “Las recetas de Mamá Pura” cookbook.

Some weeks ago Planters® sent us their new peanut butter flavors to test out. We must disclose, per our code of ethics that we are in no way associated with them, we have received no payment or retribution or future promise of it and what we share is solely based on our experience with their product.

They sent us the following three flavors:

“Cinnamon raisin granola nut”, “Berry Nut” and “Banana Granola Nut”

In order of yummyness

1.-“Banana Granola Nut”

My favorite. I guess the best proof is that it’s almost completely gone. In fact, I’m a bit jealous, since I love mashing some banana and adding peanut butter in a sandwich. I think they might have stolen my idea.

2.-“Berry Nut”

For crunch seekers and nut lovers this might be the choice. Nice flavor as well.

3.-“Cinnamon raisin granola nut”.

Ahhh…well… I guess in short, I didn’t dig it. I think there might be too much going on. The cinnamon is a bit overwhelming. I think it’s not something for everyone, but I can see how cinnamon lovers (As my “sous chef”) might dig it. I don’t particularly recommend it.

On a separate note. We’re very happy about how our first (Spanish) cookbook has been received and believe that that is due, big time to our faithful friends, co-foodies and followers. We’re working on having an English edition as soon as we can. Unfortunately our translators (meaning me) seem to have bit more they could chew and this project is a bit delayed. We do promise to have it hopefully ready before the end of the year.

As we have done with the Spanish edition, we will make it available for free to our followers. If you happen to speak Spanish, or would like a copy anyway. Just like our facebook page (there’s a link on the right to do so from here), subscribe, (if you haven’t yet) and send a message to Arturo@elfogoncito.net with a subject of “I want my copy!”

Since I’m a bit of web freak you’ll probably have it in less than 24 hours. (more likely an hour but I want to play it safe)  Printed editions continue to be available from Amazon. (The digital as well, but our fans get it free)

I hope you stay close and continue to enjoy our recipes.

Arturo

The peanut butter flavours look very interesting… but I think I’ll stick with my regular old peanuts with no sugar added peanut butter. The flavours sound very sweet.
