A taste of Carlisle Car Show!

Hello friends and fellow foodies!

A couple of weeks ago we went to the annual Carlisle, Pennsylvania Car Show. It’s a real banquet for the classic car lover and as is typical in these fairs, also a banquet for the food lover!

I started my day with a gas station cherry pie. I should probably be ashamed but I loved it. Just what I expected of it! LOL! Anyway, things improved a lot from there!

We had some traditional homemade style fries and they were just amazing! We actually got it in the same place we got the corn dogs I shared a few days ago. From there, we rushed to the sausages, my American brother in law kept saying that’s the one thing I needed to try.

When we got to the place we saw a huge, beautiful steak just being taken out of resting and being sliced for a sandwich, so we definitely had to get THAT!

Luck “was not on our side” because after preparing the three sandwiches we ordered the guy said he didn’t have enough to make another one, so he called us and put more steak on our sandwich, and then more cheese, and more steak, and he kept at it until we were stuffed as turkeys! I’m still not sure if he was trying to get a good tip, but if he was, he succeeded!

We has very full bellies but mixed feelings because we didn’t get to try the sausages. So we HAD to come back the next day and take care of that!

Uhh…yes! We also saw cars!! LOL! Carlisle is not only a great classic car show, but also a huge flea market, so we saw very interesting articles, like this dough maker that I share here.

I’ll keep organizing and sharing the pics!

A big hug from the hot and clear (today) Caribbean!

Arturo
