Leftovers pot roast pasta!
Hello everyone!
Today’s a very exciting day but I can’t share the surprise just yet! I’ve been working in a cool project that I’ll be sharing in the next few days.
In the meantime I want to share this dish. Recycling has become very popular and I think recycling food should not be the exception. Making some new out of leftovers is always a great idea.
It is common in the Dominican Republic for families to save leftovers and end the week with a pot roast pasta, a leftover vegetable or protein rice or a leftover pie. For some inexplicable reason they tend to be extraordinarily delicious.
Today I take some leftover pasta and make something great out of it!
Ingredients
- Leftover pasta.
- Cheese. Any cheese that melts works well. I like Gouda.
- Some leftover chicken breast.
Directions.
I made some layering but you don’t necessarily have to do it that way. You may mix it all and finish it up with some cheese on top. I placed a bottom layer of pasta, a center layer of cheese and chicken breasts (had been previously cooked) another layer of pasta and topped it with cheese.
Preheat your oven and take it to the oven until cheese melts.
Enjoy!
A big hug from the warm Caribbean!

I really like your blog, getting hungry.. 🙂 I saw this competition that I think you would be just the right person for! It is about creating the national dish of your country. What would you say that is for …?? Would be awesome if you could be the representative for your country 🙂 I myself will compete for Jamaica 🙂
