Hello friends and fellow foodies!

We have talked a lot about pumpkin in the last few days and yet had not shared one of the ways we prefer to have our pumpkin. Basically just boiled (usually with fried eggs, salami, bacon or ham!)

You know we have had “auyama” abundance (due to our our agricultural adventure) which is why we keep bringing you pumpkin recipes. Hope you enjoy!


  • Auyama criolla (a creamy type of Dominican squash or pumpkin similar to butternut squash)
  • Black pepper
  • butter
  • Salt

Boil your pumpkin until very tender. Take out and drop some butter on it. Add some sea salt and black pepper and enjoy!
