I’ve always been amazed by how people are able to sort smart rubik’s cube.
To me, it’s honestly like magic. I’ve watched it, and even some of my friends who were really good at solving cubes, have tried to teach me. Eventually, I learned that there were some automatic patterns that “speed-cubers” used to solve Rubik’s cube.
So I remember many years ago I tried to get into the whole algorithm fad and tried to learn them. I’m not sure if I’m just not built for them or just don’t have the right intelligence type. I got frustrated very quickly and as soon as I learned how to solve one side, I felt I had accomplished so much and just basically gave up. I still have a couple of cubes lying on my desk and I still go back to it every now and then and have some fun solving the one side that I learned.
Some time ago, I learned that my son had a very high spatial-math kind of intelligence, and got him a cube. I guess just like the documentary that came out some time ago, “speedcubers”, in which kids train for years to become professional cube solvers, I just still get excited at the whole concept, and even if I will never learn how to do it myself. I will most definitely and without any doubt never become a professional, but maybe I will be happy and satisfied if at least my son learns how to do it. It will be kind of me doing it by proxy. Am I wrong? Hey. He may even become a “speed-cuber”. I mean, as long as I’m not the one doing it?
Anyway. If you get excited about cubes, get yourself one. What do you have to lose? I found this store gan limited, which carries all kinds of cool cubes. They have the whole variety. Check it out here: 1)
